    About Me

It is an exciting time of year for me, the time when I am getting acquainted with you and beginning a new year in seventh grade core. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you, and hopefully answer some questions you may have.

I am honored to be starting my eleventh year as a class room teacher at Iron Horse Middle School. I was born and raised here in the Bay Area. I studied at Chico State University, where I received my Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology. I received my Master’s in Applied Anthropology and my multiple subject teaching credential from Cal State Hayward in 2004.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family during the upcoming months. I am certain that you will be exposed to new, stimulating ideas and will be challenged to set high standards for yourself. My goal is to make this year a positive one for you!

As I tell each and every one of my classes each day is a new day. Not a day goes by when I have not learned something new from one of my students. Besides teaching, I enjoy listening to music, live at local venues, or just on my ipod, reading, tea or dinner with friends , and scary movies.

    Classroom Expectations

My rules are posted in the classroom, the rest we will create together. Everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, so inappropriate or disruptive behavior is not tolerated. You are responsible for your own actions. You are expected to honor and respect the learning process, classroom community and others each and every day. No exceptions.
