Iron Horse Middle School

President's Message

Welcome to Iron Horse Middle School!

We invite you to join PTA and become part of the Jaguar community.  By staying involved you will have a better understanding of not only what is going on at school, but also what is going on with your child.  Thanks to parents and teachers at Iron Horse, PTA stays active on our campus, providing wonderful programs and events to enhance our students’ middle school education.

There are many ways to get involved.  The easiest is to join and become a member!  Your membership enables our PTA at the district, state, and national level to voice concerns regarding education for all our children.  Another way to be involved is to volunteer at PTA and school events.  Your precious time and energy directly impacts our students’ school experience.

PTA helps lead and organize many programs for Iron Horse students, families, and teachers:

*Jaguar Camp                                        *Career Day for 8th Graders

*Registration                                           *8th Grade Promotion

*Family Events                                        *Run for Education

*Sister School Program                           *Student of the Month

*Super Jaguars                                       *Teacher Appreciation

*Special Needs                                       *Reflections Art Program

*Red Ribbon Week                                 *Words Matter – Inclusion & Diversity

*Parent Education Nights                        *Weekly Newsletter – “What’s Up”

*Spirit Wear

Join us at our PTA meetings!  They are held on the fourth Thursday of each month in the morning at Iron Horse.  It’s a great way to meet other parents, get updates from teachers about classroom curriculum, and be a part of your child’s education.

I'm looking forward to an exciting 2017-2018 school year.  Go Jaguars!
