Middle School Summer School Enrichment Opportunity

 

The San Ramon Valley Unified School District welcomes you to enroll your student in the Middle School Summer Enrichment Program. Our courses are designed for students entering 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to enjoy an academic enrichment and/or a recreational experience.

 

Even though a portion of our enrichment classes have some academic basis, they are not structured to provide remediation of any academic area.

 

Middle School Summer Enrichment

Location: Iron Horse Middle School

12601 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583

 

Session 1: June 11 - June 22

            Period A: 8:30 - 10:15 am

            Period B: 10:30  - 12:30 pm

 

Session 2: June 25 - July 6 (No School: July 4th)

            Period A: 8:30 - 10:15 am

            Period B: 10:30  - 12:30 pm

 

Some of the course offerings for this summer are:

·         Jump Into CC Math 7th

·         Creative Writing/Photojournalism

·         Jump Into 6th Grade Core

·         Ancient Greek Interact

·         Intro to Business

·         Improving Adolescent Writing

·         Reading for Rigor

·         Literature Education through Media

·         Speaking and Listening

·         Intro to Kinesiology

·         Engineering Lab

·         Play Production/Theatre Arts

 

Students have the option of registering in up to 4 classes throughout the summer. With the exception of Play Production/Theatre Arts, which is a 4 hours course.

Be sure of your summer plans before registering.

·         Students MUST bring a completed Emergency card  on their first day of class.

·         Students needing Medication at school must bring a current Medication At School Form.

 

Cancellation/Refund Policy: Should donations received be inadequate to defray the cost of operating these programs, cancellation may be necessary. If a class is cancelled we will do our best to find an alternative summer school enrichment class for your student.

 

We always appreciate and recognize voluntary donation from our parents and community members. Your generosity helps support our educational goals, programs and services for students. Once received, donations cannot be refunded. So please check your registrations carefully before submission.
