Family Fun Night and


Please join us for our annual IHMS Family Fun Night

Thursday, October 18th

5:00-8:00pm

  • Our book fair will run from October 15th - 19th during the school day, as well as the evening of October 18th
  • The Food Truck Mafia will be there for dinner & treats to benefit the IHMS PTA
  •  Please visit our REFLECTIONS artwork showcase in the MPR that evening as well.
  • Enjoy the sounds of our very own IHMS Jazz Band perform at 6:00pm

PTA Needs your HELP!

Hello Iron Horse Families,

It has come to our attention that an error occurred during the registration process. There was a glitch in the future fund system where the PTA donation request portion was missing for a considerable amount of time while many of us went through registration. As a result, we now have a huge deficit in our annual PTA funds. This error has since been fixed on Future Fund, however, we are currently working with a $10,000 loss in donations as compared to this time last year.

If you are able, please help us reach our budget needs by clicking on the link below. We ask each family to donate $40, however, any amount is appreciated.

-make your tax deductible donation and continue to check out.

This loss is significant and very serious to the PTA. If we cannot rectify this oversite, we will be forced to cancel many of our PTA programs that help make our school so special.

New Student Enrollment

STEP 1:  Enroll your child in the district by going to the district website at http://www.srvusd.net/ and clicking “Enroll Your Child” under Quick Links.

  • Complete the district online application.  Please note that you need to use Google Chrome or Firefox as your browser.
  • Once the application is complete, print the summary.    

 

STEP 2:   Once step 1 is complete, make an appointment to come to Iron Horse Middle School to complete the onsite registration.  Appointments can be scheduled here:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4caba62fa7fd0-newstudent

Bring the following documents to your appointment:

  1. Printed Online Summary Application
  2. Proof of Residency paperwork (original mortgage or original lease agreement)
  3. A current utility bill
  4. Parent/guardian photo I.D.
  5. Student’s birth certificate or passport
  6. Student’s immunization records

** Please note that enrollment cannot be processed without all of these documents, so please come prepared.  See the district site for details on Proof of Residency and immunization requirements.

 

 

TRAFFIC SAFETY

Traffic Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Safety of our students, staff, and parents is our number one priority during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-ups. As you prepare for drop-off and pick-ups, please consider the following alternatives to utilizing our front parking lot which can become very busy:

  • IHMS overflow parking lot adjacent to the track
  • San Ramon Transit Center (“Intermodal”) along Executive Parkway – we staff the Transit Center 15 minutes before the start of school and 15 minutes after dismissal.

If you must use the front parking lot, please follow the directions of staff members, be courteous to other drivers, and stay off your cell phones. Safety comes first!
